Dogs sound like they need glasses. They are nearsighted and do not see a broad spectrum of colors. Does this mean that your dog needs glasses? No, they don’t!

To interpret their surroundings, dogs do not rely on their sense of sight as much as we do. Instead, they use their sense of smell to study their environment. If you feel that your dog isn’t responding as much to the visual signals you are sending, it is useful not to stand in the dog’s blind spot. You will be in their blind spot should you be standing directly in front of them. What a dog sees instead is a panoramic view instead of what we would expect to see if someone stands in front of us.

The next time someone asks you “Does My Dog Need Glasses?”, now you know the facts!
