Do you feel like your puppy has been out of sync lately? Here are a few ways to tell if your puppy is sick.
Inactivity or a general air of lethargy should be something you should check out. A puppy is generally curious at this life stage and may not be feeling very well if it suddenly lacks the drive and energy. Monitor its condition to ensure its not showing symptoms of illness.
One of the easiest ways to check is observing your puppies’ appetite. While a new puppy may not eat much as it adjusts to its new environment, it is out of the norm should this continue for a while. Take it to the veterinarian for treatment.
Other indicators include weight loss, diarrhea scratching or rubbing of its ears due to a possible ear infection, excessive blinking or eye discharge and behavioral changes. Should your dog display any of these signs and symptoms, take it to the veterinarian so that they can formulate a plan to ensure your puppy will be well.
